How Do You Sew?

Congratulations, you've gotten a sewing project to do! And...you have no idea how to do the stitches? No worries, we're here to help!

Follow the clips below, and start practising ♥

And you who've stumbled upon this page and haven't yet picked up a sewing project, here are some of our sewing projects you can indulge in. :)

01 : Thread a Hand Sewing Needle

To start, put the thread through the eye of the needle. A little tip:  cut the thread with sharp scissors (to prevent frayed ends) at a 45-degree angle. You may also stiffen the thread using water (or saliva).

Or use an aiding tool like the threader ;)

01A: only Thread + Needle

01B: with a Threader

02 : Knot the End of the Thread

Knotting the end of the thread is important to ensure that the thread is secured and won't come loose.

There are many ways to do this. Here's our favourite!

03: Ready for the Fun Part, Stitching!

Below are the stitches you may be using in your project(s).

Back Stitch

French Knot

Satin Stitch

Blanket Stitch

Running Stitch

Whip Stitch

Stem Stitch

04 The End : Tying if Off

Remember to end your lovely stitching with a finishing knot before snipping the thread.

Have Fun Sewing!
